After missing out on the central contract initially, Soumya Sarkar has finally been named in A-plus category of the newly-announced cricketers central contract with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The board sent a press release on Tuesday evening confirming Soumya Sarkar's contract for white-ball cricket in the A-plus category along with confirming the category of the other national cricketers.

The BCB, however, is yet to disclose the remunerations of different categories of national cricketers.

Including Soumya, a total of 17 cricketers have been included in this year's central contract, although, the cricketers asked to include at-least 30 cricketers in the central contract during their demonstration last October. BCB had agreed to their proposal at that time, but didn't keep the promise.
