Minhajul Abedin Nannu, the chief selector of the Bangladesh national cricket team, has said that the fitness trainers are satisfied with Shakib Al Hasan's fitness and added that there is a concern regarding that of Mashrafe Mortaza.

Nannu, in a video message on Wednesday, said, "All the players in the draft have given the fitness test. 98% of them are in very good shape in terms of fitness."

"Shakib has given the test today. He is very close to the benchmark set by the trainers. They are satisfied with his fitness," he mentioned.

On the other hand, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has injured his hamstring and is not likely to participate in the earlier part of the Bangabandhu T20 cup. "Mashrafe's injury is a cause of concern. I reckon he will be available by the first week of December. Then if more than one team wants him, there will be a lottery. If only one team wants him, then he can play for them directly," added Nannu.

Tigers' ex-ODI skipper had a tough time during this Covid-19 pandemic. He along with his family members tested positive, then he got injured just when he started his rehabilitation process last month.
