The country's popular cinema hall, Star Cineplex is set to reopen from Friday.

Reopening of the multiplex will be marked by a "meet the press" event by the cineplex authority and premiere show screening of the movies Mulan and Tenet, said a press release.

Gates will open at 6pm and the movie screening will began from 7pm, the press release added.

The government allowed all cinema halls in the country to reopen from October 16 after being closed for more than six months as a move to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Earlier, Star Cineplex management said they will start operations from October 23 to take all necessary preparations to ensure the safety of the visitors and their employees.

Star Cineplex was closed from March 19 due to the outbreak of coronavirus. At the same time all the other cinema halls of the country were also closed.
