Chris Evans and Scott Derrickson to team up for Bermuda Triangle thriller
According to Variety, Skydance's Bermuda now has Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson on board and Chris Evans considering starring.
The plot is a secret, though it is known that it'll be a thriller which will use the notorious Bermuda Triangle – that weird patch of ocean in the Caribbean where planes and ships have gone missing through the years – as the backdrop for its story.
With Derrickson signed on, he'll re-write the script alongside regular partner C. Robert Cargill, and the duo will produce. Evans has yet to make a deal for the lead, but he's interested. It's an interesting inversion of recent history, as Sam Raimi was once looking at directing the movie, and is now attached to the Doctor Strange sequel, which Derrickson recently departed over creative differences with Marvel.
