City Bank discloses Q4 earnings

Consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of the bank was recorded at BDT 4.29 for the period from January to December 2020 against that of BDT 2.59 during the same period last year

City Bank on Thursday conducted an earnings disclosure web cast event on its financial performances achieved during the 4th quarter of 2020.

The bank's existing and potential investors across the globe, researchers and analysts and many other individuals involved in capital market operations joined the virtually held event, said a media statement.

The consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of the bank was recorded at Tk4.29 for the January-December period of 2020 against that of Tk2.59 during the same period of the previous year.

The bank also reported Tk4,364 million consolidated after tax profit during the year 2020, which was Tk2,635 million in the previous year, the press statement read.

During the event, Mashrur Arefin, managing director of the bank, briefly discussed the current strategic position of the bank.

Besides this, Md Mahbubur Rahman, deputy managing director and chief financial officer of the bank, delivered a presentation on recent financial performance of the bank.

According to the media release, the bank attracted much attention from investment communities across the globe in recent years through its noticeable presence and growth. This event is an effort by the bank to scale up investor relation to cater to the need of this community.
