11 promoted to deputy managing directors of banks, financial institutions

Eleven general managers of nationalised commercial banks and financial institutions have been promoted to deputy managing directors.

The finance ministry made the disclosure in a circular issued on Monday.

The names of the general managers are- Md Zahidul Haque, Md Rafiqul Islam, Md Jasim Uddin, Shirin Akhtar, Md Abdul Mannan, Md Kaisul Haque, Nizam Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Mohammad Idris, Md Abdul Jobbar, Md Kamal Hossain Gazi and Mohammad Shahjahan.

Abdul Mannan and Abdul Jobbar received their promotions from their respective banks- Karmasangsthan Bank and Janata Bank Ltd.

The others have been transferred to different banks- Zahidul Haque to Sonali Bank Ltd, Rafiqul Islam to Agrani Bank Ltd, Jasim Uddin to Probashi Kallyan Bank, Shirin Akhtar to Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Kaisul Haque to Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Nizam Uddin to Agrani Bank Ltd, Mohammad Idris to Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, Kamal Hossain to Palli Sanchay Bank and Mohammad Shahjahan to Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation.
