Kawsar Amir Ali DESCO’s new Managing Director

Kawsar Amir Ali, former member of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO).

Power Division of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources appointed him for two years, reads a press release.

He will take the charge from the existing Managing Director Brigadier General Md Shahid Sarwar, NDC, PSC (Rtd).

DESCO – a stock exchange listed company - is one of the six electricity distributing companies in the country, which is responsible to supply electricity in the northern part of the Dhaka city.
