9o.5pc pass PEC, Ebtedayee

The pass rate of this year's Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations is 90.50 percent. 

Girls have outperformed boys in all indicators in the PEC examination this year. A total of 12,71,589 female students passed in the exams while 10,72,154 male students passed. 

A total of 3,26,088 students obtained GPA-5 in the PEC while 11,877 students secured GPA-5 in the Ebtedayee.  

Around 24,54,151 students attended the PEC exams this year. Of them, 23,43,743 students passed. 

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced the results at a press briefing today. 

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen handed over the PEC and Ebtedayee exam results to the premier at a ceremony at the PM's official Ganabhaban residence today.

On November 17, PEC and Ebtedayee examinations began across the country.
