Dr Mahmuda Akhter joins BICM as executive president

Dr Mahmuda Akhter, professor of Dhaka University's department of Accounting & Information Systems, has taken charge as executive president of Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM).

She submitted her joining letter today, according to a BICM press release.

Professor Mahmuda Akhter received her PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Japan's University of Tsukuba in 2000.

In her career of almost a decade, she was also the director of the Masters of Professional Accounting (MPA) at Dhaka University.
