Dhaka to host country’s largest education expo October 4
The organisers said the exhibition will be held to provide students with specific guidelines about higher studies abroad
The 5th Premier Bank International Education Expo-2019 – the largest of its kind in Bangladesh – is going to be held on October 4 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.
Deputy Minister for education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury will inaugurate the fair, which is being organised by the Foreign Admission and Career Development Association of Bangladesh – an association of firms offering foreign admissions and career development services in Bangladesh.
A press release said that the exhibition will be open for everyone, including students and parents.
The organisers said the exhibition will be held to provide students with specific guidelines about higher studies abroad.
Kazi Faridul Haque Happy, the general secretary of the organisation, said this year's fair is coming to students with various offers, including the scope of talking directly to representatives from globally renowned universities, spot admission, scholarship opportunities and discounts on different education services.
Since 2010, universities in various countries, including the United States of America, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, China, the Philippines and Bangladesh, have been taking part in the expo, she added.
Monirul Haque, the coordinator of the organising committee, said the expo will help interested students learn more about their chosen universities abroad and their requirements before applying for admission.
He added that the event aims to provide precise information to students. He also said that all education consultancy agencies of Bangladesh will be present at the fair.
More than 4,000 students participated in the education exhibition last year.
