Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is a hero for all Indians too.

The Indian prime minister came up with the remarks in a twitter post.

"My heartfelt homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a champion of human rights and freedom, on his birth anniversary. He is a hero for all Indians too. It will be my honour to visit Bangladesh later this month for the historic #MujibBorsho celebrations," said the post.

Narendra Modi will visit Dhaka from 26-27 March to attend the celebrations of the golden jubilee of the country's independence and the birth centenary of its founder 'Bangabandhu' Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Modi's visit to Bangladesh will be his first trip abroad in more than a year, mainly because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of now, only 9.5m draught vessels could anchor at the port, each carrying 2,500 TEUs. But the 10m draught ship will be able to carry 4,000 TEUs, bumping up the port’s container handling capacity and bringing down costs. The photo was taken recently from the port area.
