The series follows the entry of Chucky in a small suburban town in America and how the town gets embroiled in a series of horrifying murders which exposes the town's hypocrisies and secrets, accordig to reports be Deadline.
Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies – and allies – from Chucky's past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll's untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who became this notorious monster.
The series directly follows on from the seven films in the franchise and Brad Dourif is expected to lend his voice to the titular character.
The show will air in 2021 in two separate networks, USA and Syfy.
