Pragati Insurance declares 22% cash dividend

Pragati Insurance Ltd has declared a 22% cash dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2019.

The dividend was declared at the company's 34th annual general meeting (AGM) held virtually on Wednesday, said a press statement.

Syed M Altaf Hussain, chairman of the company presided over the meeting.

Among others, Vice-Chairman Tabith Mohd Awal, Directors Khalilur Rahman, Abdul Awal Mintoo, Mohd A Awwal, Md Syedur Rahman Mintoo, Md Sarwar Kamal, Mohammed Abdul Malek, Md Mushfiqur Rahman, NJ Chowdhury, and Nasir Latif, joined the meeting.

Besides, Independent Director Santosh Sharma, Md Akbar Hossain and the company's Managing Director and CEO Md Rezaul Karim, also joined the AGM.

The chairman said in his speech that the company made tremendous success almost in all segments last year because of the contribution of valued clients, right directions of board directors, and hardworking of the management.

A large number of shareholders participated in the virtual AGM and expressed their full satisfactions with the performance of the company.
