Sany to facilitate construction equipment in Bangladesh

With the latest impetus on the Infrastructure Development Fund fostered by Bangladesh government, Sany India is planning to scale up its presence in the construction equipment market with an aim to boost the country's development.

Nearly 25 Sany's tower cranes have been put to use at the construction site of Rooppur nuclear power plant, the first nuclear power plant project of Bangladesh. Sany has set up three units of batching plants, which is the biggest in the country at Dhaka Airport 3rd terminal project.

Sany's state-of-the-art equipment can be prominently seen in almost all major ongoing projects in the country, like Bangladesh Dhaka Metro Railway Project, Dhaka Elevated Expressway Project, BRT Road Project, Purbachal Road Project, Payra Sea Port, Cross Border Road Project, Agartala-Akhaura Rail Link, Rampal Power Plant etc.

As a globally renowned company known for their topnotch construction equipment, Sany has been playing a pivotal role in Bangladesh's infrastructure development, said in a press release.

Sany which has a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Pune, India has been a key exporter of construction equipment to Bangladesh. With the significant rise of construction equipment demand in Bangladesh, the market experts are expecting to receive major push towards Indian government's "Made in India" initiative.

Expressing delight at the country's progress, Deepak Garg, MD of Sany India and South Asia said, "Bangladesh has been one of the fastest growing nations in Asia. Speaking specifically about the future of construction industry here, I can confidently say that it's extremely vibrant and promising. The fast-expanding skyline and ongoing construction activities is a testament to this fact."

"We are delighted to be a part of this growth trajectory. Moreover, we strongly believe that our success lies in the success of our client's projects. We at Sany India have been expeditiously working on strengthening our productivity and product line to usher Bangladesh into a new era of infrastructure growth and development" he added.

Powervision Limited is the Sole Distributor and Service Partner of Sany India in Bangladesh for a wide range of equipment varying from Excavators, Concrete, Road, Cranes, Piling and Port Equipment.

It is significant to also mention that Powervision is the first and only company in Bangladesh to sign MoU with Mutual Trust Bank Limited for OEM equipment financing to facilitate the customers, stated in the press release.

With 25 customer touch points spread across the country, it also has the widest network of sales and service network across Bangladesh. As per the reports in 2019, the market size for infrastructure equipment was about Tk1,500 crore and in the last two years alone, the demand for heavy-duty equipment increased by almost 200%.
