Brothers Union opener Mizanur Rahman has struck the first century of the ongoing Dhaka Premier League. The 29-year old reached the milestone before rain interrupted the match between Brothers Union and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at BKSP-4.

Brothers were 133 for three when rain stopped play. Mizanur was unbeaten on 100 off 65 deliveries. His innings involved 13 fours and three sixes.

Mizanur became the 9th Bangladeshi batter to score a hundred in T20 cricket after Shahriar Nafees, Mohammad Ashraful, Sabbir Rahman, Anamul Haque, Tamim Iqbal, Parvez Hossain Emon, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Naim Sheikh.

Mizanur has been the star performer for Brothers Union in the tournament, hitting four fifties.

No one has more than two scores of 50+ in the tournament except him. He is currently the leading run-scorer in the tournament as well.
