All six Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) T20 matches of today have been called off due to rain.
Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) member secretary Ali Hossain has confirmed the news to The Business Standard.
"The second round matches have been postponed due to rain. These matches will be played on the day of the third round matches (June 3). Each round has been delayed by a day," he said.
This means while the second round matches will be played on the day of the third round, the third round will be played on the fourth round's scheduled date.
12 teams were set for back-to-back matches today. But they were called off in the morning after 9:00 am starts of the three matches – Abahani Limited vs Old DOHS, Brothers Union vs Legends of Rupganj, and Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity vs Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club – were delayed. A further three were scheduled to start at 1:30 across Mirpur and BKSP.
On the opening day of the tournament, two of the matches - Brothers Union vs Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club and Old DOHS Sports Club vs Legends of Rupganj – were abandoned after heavy showers at BKSP.
