Challengers beat Thunder by four wickets in a low scoring affair

In the second game of Chattogram-phase of Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the home side registered an uncomfortable win.
Challengers won the match with 12 balls to spare, but they had to lose six wickets in the process.
Chasing a low total, Challengers did not start well. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Four of their top five batsmen were out for single-digit scores.
Opener Lendl Simmons and wicketkeeper-batsman Nuru Hasan steadied the ship and took the team home.
Simmons was the highest scorer with 42; Nurul scored 37*.
For Thunder, Krishmar Santokie bowled brilliantly and recorded figures of 4-0-13-3.
Earlier, Chattogram Challengers restricted Sylhet Thunder to 129 runs.
Challengers won the toss and sent Thunder to bat first. Thunder lost both of their openers inside the powerplay. Rony Talukdar fell prey to Mehedi Hasan Rana for two.
Shafiqullah Shafiq came in at number three but failed to impress with the bat as he fell for six off six balls. Shafiq was removed by Rubel Hossain while the opener Andre Fletcher was dismissed by Muktar Ali for 38.
Before posting 100 runs, Thunder lost five wickets. They were never looked to be comfortable in the middle against the quality bowling attack of the Challengers.
After Fletcher, captain Mosaddek Hossain was the highest runs for the Thunder hitting 30 off 22 balls with two fours.
Eventually, Thunder tumbled for 129 for eight in 20 overs.
Mehedi Hasan Rana bagged four wickets conceding 23 runs in four overs while Rubel Hossain scalped two wickets for the Challengers.
Mehedi was the MVP of the match.
