He may be poor but he wins hearts
Chowdhury Shaheb is usually seen wearing full suits or velvety dressing gowns with belts.
She loves him and he loves her. They have both twirled and twisted to several beats of several songs, yet they cannot be together because her father is the rich, powerful and notorious "Chowdhury Shaheb" (Also known as Mr Chowdhury).
He forbids his daughter to marry a poor man and wants her to be betrothed his best friend's son.
Sometimes it is the hero's father who is the villain, but it does not really change the story much.
The formula for forbidden love is the same; one has to be rich in material possessions and the other has to be rich in intellect and self-confidence.
Anyway, what Chowdhury Shaheb fails to understand is that money cannot bring happiness and it is his daughter's choice to marry whoever she wants.
Chowdhury Shaheb is usually seen wearing full suits or velvety dressing gowns with belts.
He stands at the top of the stairway to make him look more superior and so he can literally look down at the hero and scream insults at him.
"What can you give my daughter? I have raised her like a queen!"
So how does the hero win the heart of his beau's father? He does not, but they end up getting married anyway.
However, before all the drama ends, the hero bellows out, "Chowdhury shaheb! Ami gorib hotey pari kintu… (I may be poor but…)" You could complete the sentence with anything but wealth.
So here is a list of things for the typical hero to boast about, he may be poor but:
-Have you seen his head full of luscious hair? That is pure beauty!
-He is popular! Other than the local goons, everyone seems to be his fan. He is on his way to becoming a great community leader, take note Mr Chowdhury.
-He can dance like the world is ending, anytime you ask him to and venues are not important at all.
-He is strong and The Hulk is nothing compared to him. He is a one-man Army.
-He is impeccably dressed, almost like a business executive. His floral-printed shirts and tight-fitted pants would be spectacular in Runways.
-If he is a modern hero, he has a paid Netflix account, because integrity is always more important to him and he does not use proxy servers to stream movies.
-It is high time to cut him some slack and accept him the way he is. Dear Mr Chowdhury, it is simply not nice to treat someone badly because he has no money.
