The Walking Dead fined $100k for breaching TV guidelines

Hit AMC show The Walking Dead has been fined a whopping $100k for misusing emergency alarm tones that are supposed to be applied during real life situations.

Here is the trailer of 'The Walking Dead' season 10

Due to the nature of the TV series, TWD simulated an Emergency Alert System in an episode that aired this past February.

FCC, the government agency issued a statement regarding the levied fine. The season 9-episode Omega simulated the EAS tone twice, which is a direct violation of FCC guidelines.

AMC, the network behind TWD, has since admitted to the violation and agreed to pay the hefty sum.

Other tv programs that were fined alongside TWD included Jimmy Kimmel Live! , Animal Planet’s Lone Star Law among others.
