"Kathbirali" – a full length feature film directed by Niamul Mukta – ran successfully in 20 halls after getting released on January 17. This is the second film of January 2020 and got wide acclamation from its viewers starring Orchita Sporshia and Asaduzzaman Abir in the lead roles.

Where most movies decrease their screenings after two weeks of release, "Kathbirali" is seen to extend its shows in its third week. The list includes Star Cineplex, Bashundhara (daily four shows onwards instead of two), Star Cineplex, Mohakhali and Shimanto Square (first time), Sky Movie Hall, Cox's Bazar (first time), Momo Inn, Bogra (for the third week), Sugandha, Chittagong and Balaka, Dhaka (second week).

The cast of the film also includes Sayed Zaman Shawon, Shahriar Ferdous Sazeeb, Shilpi Sharkar, Hindol Roy, A K Azad Shetu, and Tasnim, among others.

The film has been produced under the banner of Chilekotha Films and distributed by Jazz Multimedia. It had its unique premiere show last year at Gojarmara village in Vangura of Pabna, the shooting location of the entire film.
