12 more die in RMCH Covid unit

Twelve people died in the corona ward of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.

Ten of the twelve deceased were coronavirus positive while two had Covid-19 symptoms. District wise, six of them were from Chapainawabganj, three from Rajshahi, two from Natore and one from Meherpur. 

According to the RMCH authority, forty-four new patients admitted in the last 24 hours. Among them, 33 are from Rajshahi, 5 from Chapainawabganj, two each from Naogaon and Pabna and one each from Kushtia and Natore. 

At present, a number of 307 Covid-19 patients are receiving treatment in RMCH against 271 beds available.

The infection rate in Rajshahi yesterday was 41.18 percent, it was 23.42 percent in Natore, and 38.18 percent in Naogaon.
