Urmi Group introduces high performace anti-viral face mask "Turag Protex"

Urmi Group is launching a three-layer antiviral and anti-microbial face mask, called "Turag Protex", to help people get proper protection during the coronavirus pandemic.

In order to provide the masses with an effective and efficient product, Urmi Group applied a Swiss product known as HeiQ Viroblock to this mask which is capable of killing 99% of viruses said a press release issued by Urmi group on Thursday.

The Director-General of Drug Administration (DGDA) has approved "Turag Protex" as the first-ever high-performance mask in Bangladesh as well, the release added.

The release also said that "Turag Protex" is more affordable than the other one-time disposable masks available in the market.

It is made with re-washable fabrics which makes this mask washable up to 25 times. The mask is very soft and comfortable as well.

This mask will be available to the people from mid-August in and will be available in different sizes and colors for men, women and children, the release added.

Managing Director of Urmi Group, Asif Ashraf said, "In these tough circumstances, in addition to exporting protective equipment to foreign countries, we are producing Antiviral Face Masks at an affordable price for our people as well."

"I thank the government for their timely decision for allowing export-oriented organizations to market protective equipment and masks"

"I believe this decision will enable Bangladeshi people to have easy access to protective equipment during the time of this pandemic," added Asif.
