A derailed engine in Mymensingh today morning has halted rail communications in Bhairab, Mohonganj and Jaria.

The derailment happened at the outer signal of Bagmara station outer signal today morning.

A rescue train has arrived at the spot and started working.

"Various intercity trains like The Haor Express have been stuck in different stations," said Zahurul Islam, station superintendent of Mymensing Rail Station.

"It may take 4-5 hours to complete the rescue mission and to make the rail communication normal," he added.
