The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today detained three more persons in connection with the murder of retired Army major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan.

The detainees are-- Nurul Amin, Nizam Uddin and Md Ayas from Marishbunia area under Baharchara of Teknaf.

All of them were witnesses of the cases filed against Shipra Debnath and Shahedul Islam Sifat, who were arrested following Sinha's death from police firing in Cox's Bazar' Marine Drive on July 31 night.

Give us a little time, we’ll tell the whole truth: Shipra-Sifat

The detainees have been produced before the senior judicial magistrate court in Cox's Bazar and RAB will seek a 10-day remand for each, according to sources.

After the shooting, police arrested Sifat, who was travelling with the retired major, at the spot while Shipra was picked up from a local resort. The duo was accused in two different lawsuits – attempted murder and narcotics cases.
