Commuters, drivers should be careful on roads: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged commuters and drivers to be alert while using roads.

"Traffic law should be taught from school level," said the premiere while inaugurating some development projects via video conference at Gana Bhaban.

The Prime Minister inaugurated 13 bridges across the country in the programme.

After the inauguration, the premier said: "The government has taken a massive transportation project to ease communication between Dhaka and its adjacent districts."

Referring to the law regarding road safety enacted by her government, she said that everyone should follow the traffic rules and regulations.

She also stressed the need for introducing education on traffic rules and regulations at school levels and said, "Students should know which sides of the roads will have to be taken to move."

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader spoke on the occasion.
