Huawei strengthens its footprint in Asia-Pacific
Shows determination in offering more quality content

Huawei is set to build its HUAWEI Ecosystem to bring about fully-connected smart living.
The Chinese technology giant has revealed a wide range of developer incentive programmes, showing its determination in offering more quality content on the platform, at the APAC HUAWEI Developer Day in Singapore.
Huawei has also introduced new services and user benefits in the Asia-Pacific market.
"In less than two years, we have already garnered more than 390 million average monthly active users with total downloads of 180 billion times yearly through our HUAWEI AppGallery," said Zhang Ping'an, president, Huawei Consumer Cloud Service.
To sustain this upward trend, the company has focused on "onboarding high-quality apps and services to its devices."
"We are now taking a proactive approach to reach out to e-hailing, financial services, education, food and beverage, entertainment and lifestyle service providers in each country to enhance our platform's contents progressively," Zhang added.
A total of $1 billion has been reportedly invested in the HUAWEI Shining-Star Programme to support mobile app developers around the world. The programme will provide training, innovation support and marketing resources to apps and services related to artificial intelligence, augmented reality or virtual reality and the Internet of Things.
Developers who are eligible for the programme will get priority access to Huawei's new open capabilities and receive incentive support in marketing their products and services.
HUAWEI Mobile Services covers 570 million users in over 170 countries, enabling a smart living for every Huawei device user.
