USTR slams India, Italy, Turkey on digital taxes but holds off on tariffs

USTR has concluded the digital taxes imposed by France, India, Italy and Turkey discriminate against big US tech firms, such as Google, Facebook, Apple and Amazon.com

The European Union is also considering going ahead with a bloc-wide tax on digital services if a global deal is not reached by mid-2021.
