Bangladesh U-19 World Cup winning Captain Akbar Ali has requested the media and fans to not compare him with legendary Indian player MS Dhoni.

The U-19 World Cup winning players were greeted to a hero's reception at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday evening.

"I don't want to be compared to a legend like Dhoni just by based on one innings," Akbar, who played a match-winning innings under pressure in the World Cup final against India said to the media.

Akbar, who is also a wicket-keeper and middle-order batsman has drawn comparisons with Dhoni who has also played the same role for India.

The comparisons have further been drawn as Dhoni is known to keep a cool head under pressure and perform with the bat as a finisher when the team needs him most.
