When Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being castigated in home and abroad for various reasons particularly the new citizenship law, a Supreme Court judge of India said Modi is a versatile genius, who thinks globally and acts locally.

Supreme Court Judge Justice Arun Mishra, , who is the third in seniority in the top court, came up with a bucket of praises today while inaugurating Delhi's International Judicial Conference 2020, where judges from over 20 countries are attending, NDTV reports.

"Dignified human existence is our prime concern. We thank the versatile genius, who thinks globally and acts locally, Shri Narendra Modi, for his inspiring speech which would act as a catalyst in initiating the deliberations and setting the agenda for the conference," Justice Mishra said expressing gratitude to the Modi.

He also said India is a responsible and most friendly member of the international community under the "stewardship" of PM Modi.
