Emirates to cut more flights after pandemic is declared
The Dubai-based airline has already significantly reduced passenger flights this month
After the coronavirus outbreak was declared a pandemic, world's largest long-haul carrier, Emirates Airline said expects further flight cuts.
"More cuts will likely follow as we review the latest situation," reports Bloomberg Quint quoting an email sent by Emirates Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum to employees.
The Dubai-based airline has already significantly reduced passenger flights this month.
In his email, the Emirates chairman said that the airline plans to cut unnecessary spending while encouraging staff to take annual leave or unpaid leave.
