Michael B Jordon who played the role of Adonis Creed in earlier Creed movies is reportedly in talks to direct "Creed 3."
The series serves as both a spin-off and continuation of the widely popular and iconic Rocky franchise, following the life of the titular Creed, who was the illegitimate son of Rocky Balboa's enemy-turned-friend Apollo Creed, reported by Screenrant.
This film would be Jordan's first directing gig, but the actor has spent his entire life working with some of the greatest filmmakers of modern times.
The success of Creed was enough to launch Ryan Coogler (who wrote and directed the film) in Hollywood by getting him the opportunity to direct "Black Panther."
Creed brought the Rocky story into modern times, and Creed II managed to create a beautifully compelling story out of one of Rocky's most single note enemies, but it might be time for the series to step out of the Italian Stallion's shadow.
