"50 First Dates" actor Adam Sandler is set to play the role of an astronaut in Netflix's movie "The Spaceman of Bohemia."
Johan Renck, director of "Chernobyl" and "Last Panthers", will be directing the movie while Colby Day will be writing the script, reported Variety.
The movie centers on an astronaut who was sent to the edge of the galaxy to collect mysterious, ancient dust when he finds his earthly life falling to pieces. He turns to the only voice who can help him try to put it back together — a creature from the beginning of time lurking in the shadows of his ship.
Sandler and Netflix have partnered on half a dozen movies so far. In January, the streamer announced that it had extended its deal with Sandler and his Happy Madison Productions for four more films.
