The month December lures in festivities for fans and musicians alike in Bangladesh. As the cold mist starts to settle down, it creates the perfect ambience and excitement for bands to rock the stage. The hype gets amplified multiple times when a rock concert and that too an open air one is about to take place.
In the wake of a successful "Big Rock Day V.2", "20 years of Artcellism", and "Miles 40th Anniversary", metalheads and rock-lovers are now gearing up for "Dhaka Rock Fest" to heat up the chilled city today, December 27 at the capital's International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Expo Zone.
This festival promises to end the year and the decade with a bang. The line-up includes the likes of Arbovirus, Avoidrafa, Powersurge, Bay of Bengal, Owned, Conclusion, Sin, and Trainwreck – the band that rocked the crowd with an outstanding performance of their own trash-metal rendition of Artcell's "Gontobbohin" at "20 years of Artcellism". Headlining the event will be one of the country's beloved bands – Nemesis.
"We will be performing with several artistes. The line-up of the show is pretty good and the fans are up for an awesome evening. We are looking forward to a great show," said Nemesis lead guitarist Zafir Huq.
Sharf Ahmed Saad, social media manager of Arbovirus added, "The presence of Asif Asgar Ranjan promises a big crowd. Along with our regular hits, the band will be covering three songs that were released in April this year from GP Music.
Arbovirus is more of a live performance band, not like go-on-stage and break guitars, but I am sure, the boys have something up their sleeves."
Gates will open at 12pm and the show will start at 4pm. Tickets are available at Shohoz.com and outlets of KFC priced at Tk200.
