The Winter Expo 2019 in Chattogram city saw a large number of visitors on Friday, a public holiday, as traders lured them with lucrative offers and wide range of discounts. 

The three-day fair kicked off on Thursday at the Elite Gallery of Sorai restaurant near GEC intersection in the port city. 

A total of 30 women entrepreneurs along with various products, including clothes and jewellery items are participating in the fair.

The fair was jointly orgainsed by six entrepreneurs in cooperation with Bangladesh Fashion Designers Forum.

During a visit to the fair, the correspondent saw huge gathering at stalls, displaying clothes and jewellery items. 

Sumy Akter, a visitor at the fair, expressed her satisfaction over a lot of varieties in design of those items.

Farhana, one of the seller, said the selling of her products is going on as per her expectation. After offering discounts and offers at the fair, the volume of sale has increased. 

Saima Sultana, one of the organisers of the fair, said, "We are receiving good response from customers though it is a maiden arrangement by us. The fair will inspire other women entrepreneurs". 

President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbub Alam visited the expo on Friday and talked to sellers and visitors.  

The fair remains open from 10am to 10pm.
