Stocks down amid selling pressure

Turnover of the DSE jumped by 34% to Tk626.80 crore during the session

Indices of the both stock exchanges witnessed a downward trend over investors selling pressure in the first one-and-half hour of trading session on Sunday.

DSEX, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell by 0.10% or 6.14 points to settle at 5,830 till 11:30 am today.

Turnover of the DSE jumped by 34% to Tk626.80 crore during the session.

Moreover, DSE shariah index DSES rose 0.19% to 1,297 points and blue-chip index DS30 gain 0.16% to 2,212 points.

During this session, 94 companies share price rose, while 154 issues fell and 97 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) plunged by 29 points to 16,991 till 11:30 am.
