‘Tk10 bank account’ holders of 25 commercial banks in Cox’s Bazar participated in the central bank's refinancing scheme program

Bangladesh Bank released Tk50 lakh loan for 100 'Tk10 bank account' holders of 25 different banks in Cox's Bazar as part of the central bank's refinancing scheme.

In coordination assistance from BRAC Bank Limited, Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank organised the programme to bring the landless farmers and victims of natural disasters under the mainstream economy.

The commercial banks in Cox's Bazar, which are in the agreement with Bangladesh Bank for refinancing scheme for 'Tk 10 bank account' holders participated in the programme held at BIAM Foundation in Cox's Bazar on November 23, 2019.

AKM Fazlur Rahman, executive director of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the chief guest.

BRAC Bank's Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen, Chattogram Regional Head Salauddin Hazari, Branch Manager of Cox's Bazar Ahamd Shamsed Sultan Shaibal, and other senior officials of the participating banks were present at the conference.
