Mohammad Ali, the Deputy Managing Director of Pubali Bank Limited, has been promoted to the Additional Managing Director (AMD) & Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bank by its board of directors.

According to a press release, Mohammad Ali played a vital role in formulating Strategic Management Policy for Pubali Bank Ltd. He has significant contribution in establishing Data Center, Disaster Recovery Center, MIS System & operation of Visa and MasterCard for the Bank.

Under his leadership, Pubali Bank has developed its in-house core banking software to operate the largest real-time online banking service in the private sector, the press release reads.

Mohammad Ali joined Pubali Bank in 2008 as a General Manager and Chief Technical Officer. He has also been serving as Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the Bank.

He secured 10th position in the combined merit list in HSC examination from Rangpur Cadet College, and later completed his graduation and post-graduation in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He has three additional Masters Degree in Development Studies from Dhaka University (DU), Executive MBA (Marketing) from IBA and MBA (Finance) from AUST.

Moreover, Mohammad Ali achieved the Dean's Award from Dhaka University (DU) for his outstanding result in Development Studies.
