State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury MP has tested positive with the novel coronavirus.

His test report came positive yesterday, Jahangir Alam Khan, senior information officer of the ministry, confirmed the matter to media today.

The state minister is currently in home isolation.  

Bangladesh confirmed 43 more Covid-19 deaths on Wednesday, bringing the toll to 4,802.
