PepsiCo launched its newly formulated mango drink, Slice, in Bangladesh market with a campaign featuring brand ambassador and Bollywood film superstar Katrina Kaif on the new packs.

The new product will be available for purchase in a 200ml PET pack, pricing only Tk20, said a press statement on last Thursday.

Slice will be manufactured and distributed countrywide by Transcom Beverages Ltd, PepsiCo's exclusive bottling partner in Bangladesh.

Speaking about the launch of Slice Mango, Katrina Kaif said, "I am delighted to be a part of the launch of Slice in Bangladesh. The people of the country have shown tremendous love towards me over the years, and I am confident that they will continue it for me and the Slice together."

Talking about the campaign Naseeb Puri, marketing director, PepsiCo, area countries said, "We are committed to delivering the best offerings to our consumers in the country and launching the Slice was a natural step given the love for mangoes here."

"With its low price, Slice is a great addition to the beverage portfolio for PepsiCo Bangladesh as we look to expand our presence in the market."

"Brand ambassador Katrina Kaif also enjoys tremendous popularity here and we are confident that the association with her will help build a strong connect, increase awareness and drive trials for the beverage in the country," he continued.

Debasish Deb, country manager for PepsiCo in Bangladesh, said, "At PepsiCo, our prime focus is to add value to our consumers' lives by offering products and solutions that are thoughtfully developed and appeal to their taste buds."

"Keeping in mind the preferences and the love for mangoes across the country, we are excited to launch Slice in Bangladesh," he added.

Moreover, we are confident that the all new price point of Tk20 will make the product immensely popular amongst consumers," he further said.
