GP's additional spectrum to boost customers’ 4G experience
With this additional spectrum acquisition, GP holds a total of 47.4 MHz spectrum
Grameenphone (GP) has a firm commitment to provide customers with the best possible experience by acquiring 10.4 MHz spectrum.
In this regard, Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission organised a spectrum auction, said a press release on Tuesday.
With this additional spectrum acquisition, GP holds a total of 47.4 MHz spectrum.
CFO and Acting CEO of GP Jens Becker said, "We are thankful to BTRC and MoPT for hosting a well-run, fair and transparent auction. The auction outcome is good for the country, good for the industry, and good for customers."
"With this additional spectrum, GP is well-positioned to further contribute to the digitalisation of Bangladesh and meet peoples growing need for high-speed internet in rural as well as urban areas," Jens mentioned.
"We have a shared responsibility with BTRC to ensure better customer experience for our customers' and we are firmly committed to delivering on this shared goal," the official further said.
Through this auction, the government has taken another step towards the realization of Digital Bangladesh. This also shows the government's dedication to providing the nation with quality connectivity.
With this additional spectrum, GP will continue enhancing its 4G Experience and Quality of Service further for its valued customers.
