Bangladesh Brand Forum has recently organised its 4th Bangladesh Retail Congress titled The Future of Retail, to develop skills and knowledge within retail professionals.
The congress was held at a hotel in Dhaka, said a press release.
Shwapno was the title partner of the event and Apex was the sponsor.
There were 3 keynote sessions, 4 panel discussions, 3 insight sessions and 3 case study presentations at the congress.
Head of Human Resources of ACI Logistics Ltd (Shwapno) Shah Md Rijvi Rony delivered the inauguration speech in the congress.
Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum Shariful Islam also spoke on the occasion.
"Future of retail is about disruption and innovation. The retail sector needs to embrace the disruption and redesign the entire sector," said Shariful Islam.
Seismic shift in retail, the future of virtual retail, disruption of payment system at retails and customer experience is the game changer in retail were the topics of the panel discussion sessions.
Topics for the insight sessions were the way of delivering goods, turning footfalls into dollars and future challenges of retail marketing in Bangladesh.
The topics for the case studies were the changing retail landscape in Bangladesh, effective use of customer loyalty program and the emergence of chef's table.
Chief Executive Officer of Apex Footwear Rajendran Chandran Pillai and Executive Director, ACI Logistics (Shwapno) Sabbir Hasan Nasir were present among others on the occasion.
