Traditional horse race in Bogura

A three-day traditional horse race has started in Bogura's Sherpur upazila on the occasion of Victory Day.
The competition has 45 participants from different districts including Sirajganj, Pabna and Natore.
Thousands of people from different areas gathered in the field at Omarpara village of the upazila to enjoy the race on Friday.
The organisers of the programme said they have organised the programme to promote the healthy entertainment and old village tradition.
Abdur Rauf Khan, general secretary of Sector Commanders Forum of Bogura unit, said that the event was organised to build a drug-free society and to preserve the culture.
A fair was also held in the village centring the race.
Prizes will be distributed among the winners on Saturday, said the organisers.
