Road crash kills 8 in Habiganj

The accident took place at around 7.30 am at Kandigaon area of the upazila

Eight people were killed and four others were injured as a microbus crashed into a roadside tree in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj today.

The accident took place at around 7.30 am at Kandigaon area of the upazila.

The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately. 

Officer-in-Charge of Sherpur Highway Police Station Ershadul Haq Bhuiyan said, the microbus was going to Sylhet. The accident occurred as the driver lost control over the steering. 

The injured persons were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital.
