Fire at scrap storage of condensed milk at Chattogram

Fire broke out in a storage of scrap products of a condensed milk factory at Bhatiary Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) gate area of Chattogram on Tuesday morning.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Senior Station Officer of Fire Service Kabir Hossain said, "On information, four units of Kumira and Agram fire station went to the godown of Samannaz Condensed Milk Ltd. of Goalini brand and brought the fire under control after one hour."

"The amount of loss due to fire was estimated Tk.2.60 lakh," he added.
