Finally Rab arrests Shahed

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have seized fake notes worth Tk1.46 lakh from a flat in the capital's Uttara after conducting a raid there as per the information of Regent Group chairman Md Shahed.

The elite force entered the flat of house No 62 on road No 20 in Sector 11, Uttara, with Shahed, the main accused in a case filed over issuing fake Covid-19 test reports from Regent Hospital, at 12:26 pm on Wednesday.

Ashique Billah, director of RAB's legal and media wing, said they had seized fake notes of TK1.46 lakh from the flat.

The building had remained surrounded by RAB from Wednesday morning. The law enforcing agency conducted the drive after initial interrogation of Shahed at the RAB headquarters.

However, it has not been confirmed as yet whether it is Shahed's own flat or not.
