Sayeed Ahmed made Power Development Board’s new chairman
The newly appointed chairman of BPDB joined the organization as an Assistant Engineer on January 10, 1984
Engineer Sayeed Ahmed has been appointed as the chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) on Tuesday, December 24.
Sayeed Ahmed will take over the charge as its 35th chairman from the immediate former chairman Engineer Khaled Mahmud.
Prior to this, Ahmed was serving as a member in the power generation department of the organization.
Born on February 1, 1961 in Rangpur; Ahmed passed his secondary school and higher secondary certificate exam from Rangpur Zilla School and Rangpur Carmichael College in 1975 and 1977 respectively.
Ahmed gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1982.

Throughout his career, Sayeed Ahmed has served in a myriad of important projects in leading ranks; including the Barapukuriya coal power project.
