Dhaka north councillor Rajib denied bail again

A Dhaka court again rejected a bail petition of Dhaka North City Corporation Councillor (Mohammadpur) Tarequzzaman Rajib and sent him to jail in two cases filed under the Arms Act and Narcotics Control Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Yasmin Ara passed the order on Tuesday after Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) produced Rajib before the court on completion of his remand.
On November 11, a Dhaka court placed Rajib on a four-day fresh remand in the cases.
Previously, a Dhaka court placed Rajib on a 14-day remand on October 21.
