A case has been filed against so-called child preacher Rafiqul Islam Madani (27) with Gaccha Police Station in Gazipur under Digital Security act for allegedly making anti-state, provocative and arrogant remarks and creating chaos.

Mohammad Khaled, deputy additional director of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) filed the case on Thursday morning, said Mohammad Eltutmish, deputy police commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

Later, Rafiqul was shown arrested in the case.

RAB Wednesday arrested Madani from his ancestral home in Netrokona'sPurbatola area on charge of anti-state remarks and inciting chaos.

Imran Hossain, assistant director at the RAB headquarters, confirmed the arrest to The Business Standard, saying Madani was arrested on Wednesday morning.

Earlier on 26 March, Rafiqul and around 30 others were detained after clashes between police and anti-Modi protesters in Dhaka. However, he was released later.
