Bus plunge kills 2 in Rajshahi

At least two persons were killed and 10 injured after a bus plunged into a road-side ditch at Tanore in Rajshahi today morning.

The deceased are Riazuddin Mandal, hailing from Chimna village of Tanore and Monir Uddin of Chapainawabganj's Nachol.

Rakibul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Tanore Police Station, said, "The bus of Sakib Paribahan was coming to Rajshahi from Amunara in Nachol. The bus driver lost control over steering, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and injuring 10 others."

The injured passengers have been rescued and admitted to Tanore Upazila Health Complex.

The dead bodies have been sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
