Maqsood Kamal reelected as BSGI president, Fazle Reza new general secretary

The bi-annual general meeting and 5th Board Election 2020 of the Bangladesh Society of Geo-Informatics (BSGI) held recently in capital's Hotel Intercontinental.
Professor ASM Maqsood Kamal, dean of the Earth and Environmental Science Faculty of Dhaka University and also the President of Dhaka University's Teachers' Association was elected as the President for the second time.
Mohammad Fazle Reza Sumon was elected as the General Secretary.
Among the twenty-one members in the executive council, Professor Dr Khaled Hassan was elected as Vice President 1, Mohammad Abdul Hadi, Bangladesh Representative of ESRI as Vice President 2, Jahangirnagar University Professor Shafiqur Rahman as joint secretary, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute's Dr Ghulam Mahbub and Treasurer of Bangladesh Survey Major Zakir Hossain were elected as the organizing Secretaries.
Moreover, as a member of the Executive Council, the Directorate of Geology and Survey member, Sultana Nasreen Noori, Directorate of Agriculture Extension Dr Mossammat Farida Parveen, Dilruba Akter of the Bangladesh Survey Directorate, Professor of Geology of Dhaka University Dr Zillur Rahman, Mosharraf Hossain of the Bangladesh Survey Directorate, Mohammad Murad Billah of the Local Government Engineer's Department, GIS Professional Md Rezaur Rahman, Md Amran Hossain, Abdullah Al Baqi, Md Mahbubur Rahman, Hasan Toufiq Imam, AFM Tariqul Islam, Md Moniruzzaman and SS Vidyabarn Sarkar have been elected.
